Causes of Poor Eyesight

While poor eyesight can, and of is, hereditary, there are habits you may have formed that will eventually lead to diminished vision. The following are some of the most common bad-for-you habits to cut back on.

  • Too much screen time (laptop, phones, tablets, etc)
  • Low water intake
  • Poor diet
  • Lack of sleep
  • Rubbing eyes too often
  • Skipping out on eye exams
  • Not protecting eyes from sunlight
  • Working for prolonged periods in dim light

How can you improve your eyesight?
There’s no quick fix for better eyesight. But, you can alter your diet to consume more Vitamin A and lutein which are both beneficial for vision. Try adding carrots, Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and spinach to your meal plan. It won’t make changes overnight but it can help with seeing in low light and at night over time.Taking supplements would help to improve your vision. Clear Vision contains all the ingredients you need for such conditions, for instance, Saffron, Selenium, Bilberry Extract among others.Bilberry Extract has a rich concentration of antioxidants is generally one of the trademark benefits of bilberries. Antioxidants are plant compounds that help neutralize free radicals in the body capable of damaging important cellular components, which can lead to the development of an array of diseases. The anthocyanins are found mainly in the bilberry’s skin, and damage to the skin during harvesting can reduce anthocyanin content. The berry’s ripeness may also alter concentrations. On top of their potent antioxidant capacity, anthocyanins have also been shown to stabilize DNA, modify adipocyte (fat cell) gene expression, improve insulin secretion and sensitivity, and have antiapoptotic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial effects.

Selenium will prevent these cells from forming on the lens to better protect your vision. This mineral has also been linked to preventing glaucoma, which is caused by high pressure in the eye. Selenium and zinc work together to keep intraocular pressures low. Without selenium in the body, zinc cannot work properly to keep your vision healthy.

Clear Vision also contains Zeaxanthin and Astaxanthin. While zeaxanthin has proven to be mainly beneficial for eye health, astaxanthin takes on a larger scope of health benefits. It, too, has been shown to protect the eyes, while also contributing to heart health, skin care, joint protection, cancer treatment, and immune responses.

One of the biggest differences between zeaxanthin vs. astaxanthin is zeaxanthin, along with lutein, are the only carotenoids that accumulate in the retina. As a result, it’s largely beneficial to eye health by protecting the eyes from inflammation and free radicals.3

A zeaxanthin supplement also serves as a natural block against absorbing too much light energy, both from the sun’s UV rays and from blue light that emits off of electronic devices. A zeaxanthin supplement may help with a variety of eye-related conditions and diseases, including:

    • Eye strain and aging
    • Uveitis
    • Macular degeneration
    • Cataracts
    • Diabetic retinopathy
